Simone is a local exercise physiologist who has more than twenty years’ experience working in health, fitness and coaching environments as well as private practice. She has also worked and volunteered interstate and overseas, supporting Team Tasmania at the 2016 International Children’s Games in Taiwan.
Simone graduated with a Masters of Clinical Exercise Physiology (Rehabilitation) from Charles Sturt University in 2015 and a Human Movement Exercise Science degree at Central Queensland University in 2010.
Since working as an Exercise Physiologist, Simone has provided services for Medicare, the Department of Veterans’ Affairs, My Aged Care, Menzies Research Institute and local city councils. She has also developed strong professional relationships with a number of allied health professionals and has worked across various populations including elderly, rural communities and athletic and workplace health coaching.
Simone has a special interest in helping people with chronic conditions, lower limb and pelvic instability, neurologic, mental health and particularly those with balance or falls concerns. Simone’s exercise physiology journey has led her to consider the body very much in its entirety, looking for the biomechanical and holistic factors that contribute to one’s health. She also has a natural empathy with all walks of life and enjoys supporting the client, with functional movement, to live their best life.
Simone is a tea enthusiast who loves travel, time with friends and family and running or riding Tassie’s trails and the untamed wilderness.
